Welcome to the website of the French Neutron Scattering Association

The French Neutron Scattering Association (SFN: Société Française de la Neutronique) is a scientific society that was founded in 1994 to promote neutrons in the scientific community and to federate the French community of neutron scatterers from all scientific fields. This site serves as a space for sharing information on neutron scattering, please send us your input!

The council of the SFN has written a letter to call for an ambitious strategy for the future of neutron scattering in France, supporting a sustainable ecosystem. This letter is addressed to the Minister, CNRS and CEA.

The ICONE project document (in french) for a new neutron source is available -here-.

Presentations and a round table will take place during the next JDN.

The next Journées de la Diffusion Neutronique will take place in Erquy on 9-12 October 2023.

HERCULES is a European course for PhD students and young researchers using Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation for applications in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Hard & Soft Condensed Matter.

The next session will take place in March 2024.

The Actualité Chimique (October 2022) contains a special issue on neutron scattering!
