The Journées de la Diffusion Neutronique (JDN) were set up in 1992 at the instigation of J. Rossat-Mignod, then director of the Léon Brillouin Laboratory, to meet the need for an annual meeting between French neutronics users and professionals.
The JDN are the days during which a multidisciplinary scientific conference is held each year. Participants present recent results obtained by neutron scattering in areas of interest to the entire scientific community (Condensed Matter, Magnetism, Soft Matter, Biology, Instrumentation).
The JDN is a unique opportunity to :
- develop links within the French neutron scattering community,
- to present and discuss recent results involving neutron scattering techniques, thus stimulating the emergence of new fields of study, in particular through multidisciplinary collaborations or interactions,
- informing and discussing developments in French and foreign neutron centres, new techniques and their possibilities, and projects relating to large-scale equipments,
- welcome and promote the participation of young researchers.
