Abstract submission

Deadline: August 15, 2024

To submit your abstract, please use the template provided lastname_firstname.docx replacing ‘lastname’ and ‘firstname’ with your first and last name respectively.

Your contribution (in English) should be sent to jdn2024@jdn-conference.net.

Do not forget to specify whether you wish to submit an oral contribution or a poster, and for which session.

Oral contribution

The meeting will consist of several sessions, each covering a different area of neutron use. Each session will consist of several oral contributions: two invited contributions (45 min) will open each session, followed by several oral contributions (15 min).

The exact duration of the talks may be adjusted slightly in the final programme depending on the total number of contributions.

All sessions will be in English.

Poster

A poster session will be organised.

Posters can be presented quickly in the form of clips (1 slide per poster, 2 minutes maximum) before the start of the session.

AFC grants

Thanks to the partnership with the Association Française de Cristallographie, €300 grants will be awarded to encourage doctoral students to participate. Applications, highlighting the importance of cristallography in your work, should be sent to jdn2024@jdn-conference.net before the JDN registration deadline. Please add your thesis director in copy. You should nevertheless register and pay your fees. If you are selcted, you will get the grant later on.

Fees

They include :

  • food and accommodation (3 nights, from September 30 to October 3)
  • coffee breaks
  • boat shuttle between La Tour Fondue (Hyères) and the Porquerolles island

(departure at 2:30pm on September 30 and return at 2:30pm on October 3)

The reduced fees are dedicated to doctoral students and post-docs, in double rooms. If you prefer a single room, you will have to pay the standard fees.

Note to ESR Mission users (Etamine, Notilus): As the Porquerolles island is not listed, you will need to enter Hyères as the arrival town and add in the comments that the final location is the Porquerolles island.

Please note that the Village Club Igesa does not propose vegetarian menu or any other special diet.
